Brian resides in the Pacific Northwest with his dog, Zorra, and his boat, Raven's nest. Click to enlarge photo!

In his spare time (which is not much!) he enjoys Thai food, kayaking, boating, biking, reading, rousing conversation, and hot-tubbing in his backyard.

College Teaching Experience
  • 1983 to 1997 - Highline College, Des Moines, WA
    Taught General Science, Physical Science, Physical Geology, Pacific Northwest Geology, Introduction to Astronomy, and Oceanography.

  • 1989 to 1990 - Green River Community College, Auburn, WA
    Taught Introduction to Astronomy and Physical Geology.

  • 1986 to 1989 - Bellevue Community College, Bellevue, WA
    Taught Introduction to Astronomy and Advanced Astronomy.
K-12 Teaching Experience
  • 1996 to 1999 - Homeschool Resource Centers: Edmonds, Arlington, Monroe, Lake Stevens, Snohomish, and Bellevue, WA
    Taught all the classes listed in K-12 School Programs as well as Physical Science and Biology for High School credit.

  • 1987 to 1999 - Brian has taught workshops at libraries, public schools, and numerous home school cooperatives.
Other Teaching Experience
  • 1998 to 1999 - Workshops for Adopt a Beach
  • 1994 to 1999 - Slide shows and lectures for the National Audubon Society
  • 2002 - Restoration work with Stilly Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force
Environmental Work
Brian has been involved with organizations such as the National Audubon Society, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, PAWS, and Adopt a Beach. His volunteer work includes teaching seminars, protesting, educating, legislation and more!
